Abstract: I decided to choose 1984 as the object of my analysis because I found interesting the way George Orwell develops his political beliefs against totalitarian regimes in this writing.  Throuhout this novel, he shows that by using language in an appropriate way, it can be a powerful weapon to control people’s minds and gain absolute power.
